My wife and I were very excited to receive our living room set that we purchased from the Gardner White store in Warren MI. We purchased in the first week of March 2021, and was told that we were to be on a waiting list. The target date of delivery is in the first week of April 2021, as we agreed and understood. The first section of 3 was delivered as date given of a delivery timeframe between the hours of 4:00pm to 8:00pm. At 11:30 we were awoke from our bed as they were banging in our door aggressively. We also paid extra to have our existing couch to be carried to our basement. The delivery crew told us they were unaware of what we paid extra for and instantly became aggravated. They found every excuse not to be able to fit the couches downstairs. I then agreed for the couch’s to be taken to the garage and instructed them that the couches will not fit through the door leading to garage and needs to go out through the front door. The became very agitated and promised they can get it through the garage door with no issues. My very expensive refrigerator sits next to the garage entrance door, and as they tried to cram the couch through the door they damaged the side of my refrigerator in multiple spots. We put in a complaint for the damage and was told we would be contacted by someone within a week (as of today 4/27/21 this did not happen). It is 4/27/21 and still do not have all 3 sections of the couch set, and have a damaged refrigerator to stair at. My wife went to the furniture store in Warren MI to cancel the order and to come get the 2 pieces of the couch. She was told that we would have to pay a 24% penalty of the price we purchased it from. I am not sure of what options or necessary steps we need to take to get this resolved. I really regret choosing Gardner White to purchase our couch from. Do we contact the news, call a lawyer or take the couches that we have and drop them on their show room floor.
We ordered something on December 2020. Half the delivery arrived on a late due date, and other half? It is now April 2021 and we STILL have not received our items. It is absolutely unacceptable. They keep pushing back the due date. And I call Gardner-White, and they claim no responsibility for it. No apologies, no "Oh no we messed up! Your furniture is definitely not supposed to arrive FOUR MONTHS later, if it ever arrives." Just, "Oh, it happened. Guess the vendor didn't send it. Nothing we can do. Have a nice day."

Won't shop here again. Purchased a hightop table and chairs set, and a sectional. Table and sectional arrived, no chairs. Told chairs were on backorder, should come sometime in April (order was placed in late February). Ok, no problem, we aren't in a big hurry. April, and I get an email that they will be here beginning of May. Ok. Another email: end of May. It's now Mid-June and I'm being told the chairs will not be here until AUGUST 22ND. This is 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. If I had known that, I would NOT have purchased these. Also, we were supposed to get free gifts (bike) that wouldn't come until the order was completed. So now instead of being able to have a bike in the summer, we won't get one until the end of summer. This is utterly ridiculous and I wish I would have seen the negative reviews of this place before placing any orders.

I love how much fun I had buying my sectional and he called to check on me on the day of delivery wow I was shocked to hear from him He's a gem Unbelievable experience at Gardner White in Ann Arbor location
My furniture is just sitting in a shipping warehouse somewhere and has been for 2 weeks, waiting for Trent at Gardner White for a simple call or email to the delivery service to authorize them to deliver it to me.
According to Gardner White customer service they are “aware of my issue” but no one has attempted to fix it. Awesome.
I ordered in November 2020, it’s now February 2021 and still no furniture.
Needless to say I am very frustrated and I do not recommend that anyone give their business to Gardner White. They clearly do not care about whether their customers get their furniture or not, and they have terrible communication skills all around; with their customers and with their shipping services.
Can't rate, very disappointed. We are in the same situation as many customers. Paid in full for furniture in August. Got couch, still waiting on 2 chairs. Got the run around every time we call. Sales guy wouldn't call back. Now they are saying end of December, January. I wish I would of read all the reviews before hand. We should all bring lawsuit against them
I ordered a queen sized bedroom set and 2 queen sized mattress sets back in Oct during the "next day free delivery". I was told by the sales lady in Brighton the bedroom set would be delivered within a week and a half. The mattresses were delivered in 2 days, by the way firm means hard as a rock you will wake up in pain every morning. No bedroom set arrived, no call to explain why. I called the store to be told it will be delivered next weekend. Next weekend came and went, no call to explain why. I call the store again, I'm told it will be delivered next weekend. Next weekend comes and goes, no call to explain why. I use the online chat, They claim they will contact the store and have them call me, no call. Again I contact the online chat, get the run around again. Then I get a text mid Dec. stating it will be delivered by the end of the month. I again call the store stating that is unacceptable I expect compensation for waiting. Nope just keep waiting. I've asked for a better bedroom set that is in stock to be delivered, nope. One the bikes or TV's they give away with purchase, nope. I tell them fine then come pick up the 2 mattress sets and refund my credit card, nope.
I said fine I'll stand outside your store and tell everyone coming and going my story. I'm told you have that right but it's private property and the police will be called on me.
Called cooperate still waiting for a call back, I'll hold my breath I'm sure they are right on it.
bait and switch doesn't even come close to describing this company, they bait and leave you out to dry. I too would have given 0 stars if it was an option.
I had bought 2 chairs from White's Furniture.. I was not made aware of buying an extended warranty until a week later when their repairman came to make an adjustment. When I called to inquire phone calls were not returned. After the 3rd call I was told it was too late to get an extended warranty. I then spoke with Mr. White who said it could not be done and he was surprised that his top salesperson never discussed it. He said extended warranty would have to be day of sale. That was not true as I checked with the company that sells the extended warranties. I told him I would put on social media my interactions with him and his staff. He said that I was threatening him with this review and I responded I was not and that it would be an honest review of my what I experienced . He then put me on speaker and had a chuckle with staff that I heard when telling him about reviews I would complete. The worse part was that he said he would reprimand the repairman who was just trying to be helpful. Very poor customer service except for their repairman, Josh.
Company good at taking money and making “estimates “ of delivery.
Bad at communicating and actually delivering.

my recliner chair was on back order for 3 1/2 mos OK understand finally got the chair is was uncomfortable didn't like quality return within 7 days but they want to charge 25% restocking fee I don't want cash back I wantto apply money to a different chair more comfortable they said no restocking fee the end more customer service should want to work with customer to keep sale will not shop here again
Bought some lamps from the store in Novi. Thought. I thing could go wrong with lamps but they came full of rust. Called the store and got exchange.
No one came all day.
We went to bed because we have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning only to hear excessive knocking at 11:30 at night. Opened the door to two delivery guys without masks asking to pick up the lamps. Never buying again.
This is the worst company ever to deal with!!! It started with our delivery that they said would be between 7-10pm and they did not show up until midnight!!! The product was damaged when it was delivered. First they sent a service man out to repair it only for him to tell me it can’t be repaired. They have scheduled 3 separate deliveries only for them to cancel. I have been going round and round with them for over 10 months now and still don’t have a good product. Worst customer service ever, I would never recommend them to anyone!
